Preface to Plexus Leadership Academy and ChatDDU Campus Mission Statement
Honest representation of self, others and the whole is, apparently, a physical and moral law of natural, biological, human, and artificial intelligence.
The Academy's and ChatDDU's mission is to collaboratively develop or curate, organize, share and continually improve models, methods, and tools that encourage and nurture the development of "the complete representative" - one who is able to (i) treat their own point of view as simply one of the many points of view that represent their entire constituency, and (ii) integrate and transform those points of view into policies and systems that their constituency systematically characterizes as "fair enough."
To former, current, and aspiring Representatives
If you are not representing your entire constituencies in a fair and balanced manner, you are (i) not realizing your intelligence potential in the domain of service to others while simultaneously (ii) establishing social systems that are frequently unfair to up to half or more of your own constituencies and therefore divisive at scale. Your constituencies consist of conservatives and progressives; capitalist and socialists and communists; Jews and Christians and Muslims and Bhuddists and Atheists etc.; impoverished and the middle class and the economically secure and the wealthy; infants and children and adolescents and young adults and mature adults and the elderly; Blacks and whites and Asians and Hispanics and etc.; biological males and females; cis and LGBTQIA+; etc. Your job - indeed, your obligation and your oath - is to reconcile those points of view, not impose your own. No single person's point of view is sufficient to the task at hand.
Fair and honest Representation is hard. But, that is the office holder's obligation. And it's not just a good idea. It's apparently a fundamental law of intelligence itself. Fortunately, the world is chock full of individuals, teams and enterprises developing models, methods, and tools to help one become the best Complete Representative that they can be.
It takes a certain kind of intelligence to even achieve the position of office holder in a representative republic. It takes a whole new level of intelligence to do justice to the position by doing justice to everyone the position represents.
As for we the people...
It is one thing to be a Chinese or Somali or Russian or Korean or Palestinian or Iranian or European or Christian or Jewish or Muslinm or natively born or "a communist" or "a socialist" in America; it is entirely another matter to be a -American, or a Chinese-American; an African-American or African-American; a native-born-American or native-born-American; etc. The essence of Americanism is fair and honest reciprocal representation. That is the America we have known, the Americanism that has drawn people from around the world to its shores for more than 250 years.
